    J\u00e1nnos Eolou is a member of the European Film Academy & the Hellenic Film Academy.<\/p>

    J\u00e1nnos Eolou is a multi-talented artist with his major art being Music. He was born in Greece. He studied in the U.K. and the U.S. Mechanical Engineering, as well as Music (composition, improvisation, orchestration, Scoring for Films.) He is a prolific composer, a very skilled orchestrator, an experienced producer, an art director, a writer, a director\u2026 a creative person\u2026<\/p>

    J\u00e1nnos Eolou has composed music for the cinema, the theatre, contemporary dance companies, the concert hall and for album songs. He has worked as a recording producer, as a session conductor as well as a sound engineer.<\/p>

    His works have been distributed, performed, enjoyed with many millions of views and streams on all major platforms<\/p>

    In 1999 he started creating multimedia spectacles combining many art forms in an effort to tell a story evoking emotions. His most prominent work is The Dance of the Dead Roses, a performance combining symphonic music, contemporary dance, cinema, poetry, video art utilizing a 100+ orchestra. The work had more than 40 performances with thrilling reviews.<\/p>

    In 2002 he composed the score for the film SOLINO, by Fatih Akin, the celebrated German director of Turkish origin. The score was released on a soundtrack CD by BMG GmbH and had a great impact to audiences of over 30 countries.<\/p>

    In 2008 he started his collaboration with Dutch director Klaas Bense on the films \u201cThe Diary of a Times Square Thief\u201d and \u201cOne Fine Day\u201d<\/p>

    In 2009 he has composed music for the first animated stereoscopic film in Greece on the history of aviation SKIES TO ETERNITY.<\/p>

    In 2011 he scored the soundtrack of the Greek film TO TANGO TON HRISTOUGENNON (Christmas Tango) directed by Nikos Koutelidakis (Village Roadshow). This became a major sucess and it is now considered a classic soundtrack. It has also won the Hellenic Film Academy Award for Best Soundtrack on 2012<\/p>

    In 2012-13 he scored the TV series 100graphy (150 episodes)<\/p>

    In 2014-5 he scored ten 3D films for Mount Olympus, Pella, Drama and more.<\/p>

    In 2015 he scored the Time Squatters. Jannos has been working for several years on the TIME SQUATTERS Saga. He has written the novel as well as the soundtrack for that. The book is available for downloading on Kindle Amazon, (printed version soon) and the soundtrack can be downloaded from iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, etc.<\/p>

    In 2016-9 he scores the TV series HARA THEOU (48 episodes)<\/p>

    In 2017 he composed CORPUS AETERNUM, a full length work for Mixed Choir and Piano, inspired by Hippocrates. It is a work dedicated on the Human Body. Christos Papanikolaou, the painter, created 77 original new paintings inspired by Jannos work and they are displayed on a video installation each time the music work is performed.<\/p>

    In 2019 he composed La Foret des Voeux, a full length work (47 min) for string quartet, piano and accordion. It was premiered on 23rd of March 2019 at Yeni Tzami, in Thessaloniki with the participation of the \u2018Orpheus Soloists\u2019. The visual background of the concert utilised photographs of the era 1912-17 of ordinary people \u2018awaiting\u2019 and \u2018celebrating\u2019 the \u2018idea of liberation\u2019, from the collection of the \u2018Photography Museum of Christos Kalemkeris\u2019. The work was studio recorded and it is released digitally and as a CD (see MUSIC WORKS section).<\/p>

    In 2020 J\u00e1nnos Eolou records NARCISSUS, a chamber music (string quintet and piano) work that he has been working on since 2008.\u00a0<\/p>

    Also in 2021-22 he works in full length work for a Piano, Cello and Oboe Duet and Trios\u00a0called Tales from UnEnchanted Times. Several singles of this work are already released.<\/p>

    1922: A Century in Ionia, Thrace and Pontus.\u00a0J\u00e1nnos\u00a0was asked to compose music for the commemorative tribute organized by Thessaloniki International Trade Fair-Exhibition in September 2022. It is a tribute to the events that 100 years ago led hundreds of thousands of Greeks from Asia Minor, Pontus, Thrace to leave their lands and to run away as refugees to Greece. It is a video installation, a ‘memory walk’ in two video projection rooms, on screens with a total width of 32 meters. On display in Pavlion 6 of the TIF\/Helexpo in Thessaloniki from 10-18th of September 2022.<\/p>

    Since 2012 he has been working on a full length work on orchestral Tangos (for string orchestra, piano and bandoneon) called The Tangos of the Magic Reality. The album was released on 3\/3\/2023. Since then, the work is performed live in several venues. He received great worldwide reviews as well as 5 international awards.<\/p>

    2022-2025 J\u00e1nnos worked on NIGHT BEYOND, a work of Nocturnes, for string orchestra, piano and Qanun. The album was released in late 2025 and has received great worldwide reviews as well as 3 international awards.<\/p>

    J\u00e1nnos is currently working in new projects, 2 of them being almost completed.
